If you want to taste Istria in its entirety, then food is a completely logical choice. Restaurant Amfiteatar is synonymous with the ultimate Istria gourmet experience.

If you want a top chef to prepare a multi-course tasting menu for you, all you have to do is call at least one day in advance.
Guests can choose from one of our pre-made courses or we can make dishes and courses according to your wishes.
The offer consists of meat, fish and vegan specialties, and Croatian, Mediterranean, Italian, French and Asian cuisine can be represented.

Cooking classes for beginners: live and eat like an Istrian
If you want to learn how locals or Istrians live, it is best to get to know their cuisine.
You will prepare interesting dishes with the chef, you will find out why Istrian olive oil is considered the best in the world, try local varieties of wine such as Malvasia and enjoy a gastronomic delicacy in the form of truffles.
Private dinners in Istria
We are often contacted by guests who, on the occasion of a certain occasion, such as an anniversary or birthday, want us to prepare a private dinner for them in our restaurant, yacht or holiday home where they are staying on vacation in Istria or throughout Croatia.
The service includes a menu of your choice (Istrian, Italian, Mediterranean, international cuisine) with complete equipment (e.g. barbecue, high tables) and service (waiters, waiters, cocktail masters…).
Catering service
So far, we have had the opportunity to design food for over 100 occasions (business, celebrations, weddings) all over Croatia.
Among other things, we prepared catering for the Croatian president, the famous band Foo Fighters, the Vatican, ATP…
Head chef
Deniz Zembo is known as the most imaginative Croatian chef, which has been confirmed by the prestigious Gault Millau gastronomic guide on several occasions. This is confirmed by gastro critics and people from the profession, so Larisa Radin calls it the “Pollock of cooking” because of the art on the plate.
He gained his greatest experience working in London, where he completed his education and ran a restaurant. He managed numerous establishments, some of which are Trattoria Riva’s and Plaza 51 (ex House of Istrian Prosciutto) in Rijeka. He is best known for the revolutionary Le Mandrać in Volosko, with which he brought molecular gastronomy to Croatia.
He has cooked for various high-level presidential delegations, and recently had the honor of cooking dinner for the Pope and the Vatican.
